Notes:

Pro activity: whist also doing these placements i have found it important to ask questions and ask about skills you want to learn and opportunities you are interested in. for example at the start o the amanda Kelly internship we didn’t have any projects to work on along ide helping out at the studio, which was an aspect of the job i wanted to get better at. i asked about having more projects which we were given, and i was able to get feedback about my designs.

Enterprise: whist working at richard quinn i decided to stay as i wanted to experience fashion week, this was a risk i took as i was not so happy in the environment. this is because they did not treat the interns with any respect and made us work long hours and just made us do all the bad jobs without any thanks. whist working with Christoph he used Fabrics which were made from recycled plastics, he also showed me the keyrings he made with his scrap fabrics. i took notes also with the best ways to cut fabric to minimise waste.

Communication: being able to create designs also meant that i was able to develop knowledge on the industry and what kind of designs aree currently wanted by companies. as it is needed for retail i was less able to design with my own style. however i neededto learn more of this asfi were to get a designer job i will have to make designs to certain descriptions.

Connectivity: ive found since interning i like to work in a social environement, but not necessarily a group project. For example i enjoyed wworking at Amanda Kelly as i was working with other iterns to get jobs done. whereas at CRitter i was working alone quite alot so ometimes the job would feel more boring. however when i was working in a group in Richard Quinn some of the interns seemed to be fighting over who was in charge, rather than allworking together someone always wanted to take controll.

Story telling: making sure to go back and reflect on reflections, such as after some time has passed do i feel difffernt about a situations?

Curiosity: whilst working for Amanda Kelly i was interested in her vintag collection.over time i showed more interest in it to her and offered to help with sorting it. from this i was eventuallyy able to help Amanda sort through her vintage collection, which also led to me creatiing a closer bond with Amanda and her company.

Self efficacy: being able to look positively on situations. for example for placements i did not enjoy, what good things came out of this anyway? for richard quinn i was able to attend the fashion week show and watch it myself.

Resillience: being professional throughout hard times.
